THE NERDBEECON TRUST CENTER
Good faith. Strong opinions.
Disagree about the game or movie. Treat the person behind the review with respect.
Write from your own experience
Review something you actually played or watched. Explain the experience behind your rating. Do not post fabricated experiences, copied reviews, spam, impersonation or coordinated rating manipulation.
Criticism belongs here
Negative scores, unpopular opinions and disagreement with staff are allowed. Disliking a score is not a reason to report it or ask for its removal.
Protect other people
No harassment, threats, hate directed at people, private personal information, or malicious links. Keep unrelated arguments and promotional spam out of reviews.
Respect spoilers
Flag major plot turns and endings with the spoiler option. Spoiler-marked text and written highlights stay collapsed until a reader chooses to reveal them.
Disclose free access
Choose “Free review copy provided” if a developer, publisher, studio or representative supplied free review access, including a screening. Explain other relevant connections in your review. Never accept compensation in exchange for a positive rating.
Report with context
Use the Report control on a published review and describe the specific concern. The owner can hide or restore a review with a recorded reason. Reports do not automatically change scores. You can withdraw your own published review from account settings without deleting the retained record.
